Well, it is hard to say. Malt doesn't go bad in one step, rather it
looses flavor slowly, so it is hard to say when it is no longer good.

Some say a week, some say a few weeks, some say for ever... I have had a
sack of crushed malt that lasted a few months, without me tasting any
bad effects. But it was early in my career, so I may not have been able
to note the finer differences.

It also depends on what kind of beer you want to brew from it. Any small
imperfections are easy to hide under a ton of black malt, and/or a lot
of bitterness...
