How many holes did you drill. If you can find a place for another hole,
so that it does not touch any others, you didn't drill enough of them.
Maybe the new holes could be of 2.5 mm, so you can squeeze them into
even smaller places...

When pressing the water out, you also got a bit more particles. Most of
those will settle down during boil and fermentation, but you risk your
beer may not be as clear as it could be. Also, boiling some of the grain
particles can give a bit of extra bitterness, in a suboptimal way.

It is said to be bad magic, but I use boiling water for sparging. I use
it in small increments, so that the temperature stays about right. I
just boil a liter at a time (in a separate water kettle) and pour it
into the mash. Never had a stuck mash.

Here some ideas:
- Do not crush your malts too fine
- Do not use much of other grains
- Keep the temperature higher
- Have more patience, it takes a while.
