When I learned to brew, soon many years ago, my teacher and guru, Bo,
used something like that for his mashing tun. Worked fine. I think he
took home a medal in DM with a beer made with such a setup - although he
used some larger systems too...

So, don't worry about it. It will be

   beer anyway
