Hi Chris, Glad to hear of your interest, and also your research. The Task Analysis Survey Report by the BSD Certification Group (report: http://www.bsdcertification.org/downloads/sr1_links.pdf) does not have a lot of hard data on the 'need' for BSD admin. It was focused primarily on what those admins do. That said, you might find some of that material interesting. As far as a market analysis, I'm not aware of any specific to BSD. I know there have been studies done for Linux (google for Linux market valuation or market capitalization). One of the next several documents planned by the BSDCG is a BSD Certification Business Plan. That document will contain a market study specifically for BSD. It hasn't been started yet however. Best Regards, Jim B. _______________________________________________ BSDCert mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nycbug.org/mailman/listinfo/bsdcert
