dear everyone,
first off, please pardon my poor english and numerous
grammar mistakes and the typos.
i have 2 machines. both running linux, RHEL 4.0 clone
(CentOS 4.0) and i am happy with this linux
distribution as it helps me practice for my RHCE
paper.
now as i am planning to take up BSD certification i
would like to install BSD flavor(s) also.
like how the first step in programming is to type "
hello world" i guess my first step towards BSD
certification would be to install BSD(s). i have tried
a lot to dual boot FreeBSD 5.4 and OpenBSD 3.6. but i
failed and failed and failed to succeed everytime. i
did ask in all the irc networks namely Freenode,
Efnet, OFTC. but no one could really help me with
this.
well i am a BSD newbie and i have no knowledge as how
to use BSD and have never *USED* BSD except in vmware.
i am attaching the dmesg of the machine where i would
like to install both the BSDs. if i succeed i would
also like to multiboot with FreeBSD, NetBSD and
OpenBSD.
i did google a lot looking for information. but sigh!
i didnt get any proper information. hope this dmesg
attachment gives you the hint on how i can dual/multi
boot BSD(s).
several thanks in advance.
cheers!!

Sorry to hear about the multiboot problems you are facing Partho.
However, this is not a technical list to address problems such as those
you are having. This list is for discussion about the creation and
implementation of a BSD certification.
If you're looking for technical assistance, I'd recommend starting with
the main documents of each BSD project. For instance, for FreeBSD, you
should start with the handbook. There's lots of information about
multi-booting out there. . . And there's information in each main
document. ..
