To the BSD community,

Starting May 27, 2010, the BSD Certification Group will be accepting
nominations for two Board of Director positions. The last day
for nominations will be June 26. Directors will be elected by a vote of the
eligible BSDCG members shortly afterwards. The results
will be publicly announced by the middle of July.

These positions are for one year terms, starting at the end of the election
process. Directors are asked to participate in monthly
meetings, and to help set the overall direction of the BSD Certification Group.
The details are described in the BSDCG Bylaws, at
http://www.bsdcertification.org/BSDCG/bylaws.html.

Anyone from the general BSD community can be nominated, including individuals
in interested organizations or companies. Anonymous
nominations will be accepted, but please consider copying the nominee on the
nomination email. A single nomination is sufficient to
list the nominee in the election.

Membership in the BSDCG is welcome and encouraged, but not necessary, to submit
a nomination or to be nominated. Directors must be
members, so nominees who are not already members should be willing to join.

Please send nominations to [email protected].

The non-voting Election Coordinator, James Lane, will acknowledge receipt of
each nomination. Each nominee will be confirmed by
email, so please include the nominee's email address in the nomination. The
names of the confirmed nominees along with the number of
nominations received by each will be published shortly after the close of
nominations.

The current board is:

Jim Brown (term expires July 14, 2010)
Dru Lavigne (term expires July 14, 2010)
Matt Olander (term expires June 1, 2012)
Jeremy C. Reed (term expires June 1, 2012)
George Rosamond (term expires June 1, 2012)
