Seems the new setup creates a build error on Mac OS 10.14.6:

        gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I..     -g -O2 -MT sockconst.o -MD -MP -MF
$depbase.Tpo -c -o sockconst.o sockconst.c &&\
        mv -f $depbase.Tpo $depbase.Po
/bin/sh ../libtool  --tag=CC   --mode=link gcc  -g -O2   -o sockconst
sockconst.o -ldl -lm -lncurses -lcurses -lpthread
libtool: link: gcc -g -O2 -o sockconst sockconst.o -ldl -lm -lncurses -lcurses
-lpthread
depbase=`echo TLV_server.o | sed 's|[^/]*$|.deps/&|;s|\.o$||'`;\
        gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I..     -g -O2 -MT TLV_server.o -MD -MP -MF
$depbase.Tpo -c -o TLV_server.o TLV_server.c &&\
        mv -f $depbase.Tpo $depbase.Po

depbase=`echo ncurses_emul.o | sed 's|[^/]*$|.deps/&|;s|\.o$||'`;\
        g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I..     -g -O2 -MT ncurses_emul.o -MD -MP -MF
$depbase.Tpo -c -o ncurses_emul.o ncurses_emul.cc &&\
        mv -f $depbase.Tpo $depbase.Po
ncurses_emul.cc:232:19: error: use of undeclared identifier 'sdterr'
   return fprintf(sdterr, "*** LIBCURSES etc. missing\n");
                  ^

make[2]: *** [ncurses_emul.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

That is a clean SVN update, followed by a ./configure.
