In xemacs, the "Open..." and "Save as..." file menu items do not work
well with auctex (this has been so for some time, actually). More
specifically, when one selects these menu items a window appears for a
split second, then disappears, and the following message appears in the
status bar:
Invalid operation: Window height too small (after splitting), 0
