Looks like you marked up something inside of a macro definition.
Would not seem like the best candidate to turn into a working preview.
Yes, this could have happened! Since I then tried other parts of
circ.tex too the elder _region.tex selection has gone ...
These other regions went fine, together with the Babel message on
'German'.
