Dear AUCtex,
I am using AUCtex via aquamacs on my new mac.
The aquamqcs people said the following bug must be with
AUCtex, not with aquamacs...
here goes...
when editing my rather long file, the colors change partway through -
the main text becomes pink rather than black-
and anything cut and pasted after that point works much slower
than on the
earlier part.
What is going on???
When I removed the lines where this occured, everything returned to
normal.
Yet there is apparently no latex error, as it gives me
no error message, and as it tex's and prints correctly.
the aquamacs folks suggested it is a problem of AUCtex not recognizing
what I had written (???)
Here are the offending lines:

(this one works just fine!!!)
