The problem I reported early today seems a mistake. It might resulted from some errors in setting of MiKTeX or GSviewer on my office computer. When I do the same thing with the latest NTemacs on my home laptop, everything is fine. That is, AUCTEX can work very well.
Please forget my this bug-report. Sorry for any inconvenience. On 4/25/07, David Kastrup <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Could you prepare a short example document, run the preview command, then use M-x preview-report-bug RET and possibly add a small(!) screenshot of the problem? -- David Kastrup, Kriemhildstr. 15, 44793 Bochum
