30.1, Debian Stable.

I'm attaching a MWE with the issue reported.
With the code proposed by davidcarlisle everything works fine.
The new AUCTeX release 14.1.1 was out just a few days ago in order to
cope with this ignored error. (Thanks, Arash!) Please update your
AUCTeX
via ELPA by usual procedure and you will be ready.
