In it there is a section that shows the error(s) that the preprocessor threw when working on this file. Please show these errors to the maintainer of vice (either the gentoo maintainer, or the upstream maintainer). If it looks like it could be a bug in the configure test, you could also post it here. But chances are rather small that it is an Autoconf bug. Hope that helps. Cheers, Ralf
