Sorry, but you lost me here completely. First off, the zsh package does not use Automake _at all_. Second, I just told you how I produced identical zsh/Src/Makefile and zsh/Src/Modules/Makefile files with the two different Autoconf versions you are talking about. If you are seeing any difference with respect to Autoconf version, and you think the difference is indication of a bug, then please show me how to reproduce it exactly. Best if you start off with empty directories in both cases, and just cut and paste what you do, and what output you see. I want to see the bug right before my face, not described in words, but in plain command output.
