The documentation for AC_TRY_LINK at
https://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/manual/autoconf-2.69/html_node/Obsolete-Macros.html
has a cross-reference to "Running the Compiler". Presumably this
should be "Running the Linker" instead.
Patch attached to fix it, and also make the link in AC_TRY_LINK_FUNC
consistent.

rather than AC_COMPILE_IFELSE. Use consistent link for
