This appears to be a bug in the AX_PTHREAD macro, which is part of the
"Autoconf Archive" collection of add-on macros, not Autoconf proper. Please
resend this report to the autoconf-archive-maintaners mailing list (see
https://savannah.gnu.org/mail/?group=autoconf-archive); they don't seem to
have a formal bug tracker.
