This definitely is a question for Esound mailing lists rather than Automake's. It sounds like you need to first install some prerequisite packages such as ALSA. However, I have no idea whether they have been ported to Cygwin or even native w32. I suggest you take a look at their installation documentation. Hope that helps. Cheers, Ralf
