Is lzip expected to be portable? Did you receive the email (and patch) that I sent to you a day ago regarding a portability issue?
Lzip is supposed to be portable to posix systems with GCC. It is easy to port lzip to some non-posix systems like OS/2[1].
[1] http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php?key=lzipThe lzip format is already supported by at least two LZMA implementations based on Pavlov's SDK[2], so it is easily supportable by 7zip/p7zip.
[2] http://github.com/lloyd/easylzma/tree/master http://riemann.fmi.uni-sofia.bg/lzma/lzma.manI received your patch. Thanks. It will be included in the next version of lzip.
What operating systems and compilers has Lzip been demonstrated to work with?
Dragora GNU/Linux[3] is switching its packaging system to lzip.
