Is lzip expected to be portable? Did you receive the email (and patch) that I sent to you a day ago regarding a portability issue?

Lzip is supposed to be portable to posix systems with GCC. It is easy to port lzip to some non-posix systems like OS/2[1].

The lzip format is already supported by at least two LZMA implementations based on Pavlov's SDK[2], so it is easily supportable by 7zip/p7zip.

I received your patch. Thanks. It will be included in the next version of lzip.

What operating systems and compilers has Lzip been demonstrated to work with?

Dragora GNU/Linux[3] is switching its packaging system to lzip.
