Code to trigger failure
I get:
$ gcc t_ifunc.c -mabi=32
ld: BFD (GNU Binutils) 2.29.51.20180109 assertion fail elfxx-mips.c:9014
ld: BFD (GNU Binutils) 2.29.51.20180109 assertion fail elfxx-mips.c:10872
Not sure if the code is valid but I came across the issue only failing on MIPS
of many architectures.
