Could you try building binutils from the users/nalcock/try-unweaken-libctf
branch on binutils-gdb, and let me know if it fixes it for you? It no longer
uses weak symbols in libctf and seems to work in all my other tests, but I
can't make MacOS X builds get far enough to see this failure (see my other
comments in this bug).
I'll put it on master if this helps, and probably throw it in a mass backport
of build-breaking libctf bugs to 2.45 and maybe 2.44 as well.
