My plan was to ask Nick if we could do a 2.45.1 for the windres fix and the
collective strip changes, but the strip changes have involved a bunch of
followups and refactors.
I don't personally *need* a 2.45.1 (we track the branch) but it might be nice
for people.
Should we say give the current state of things (if no more changes are needed)
a week or two and then cherry-pick all of them? Or leave it? Or something else.
