The problems seem to arise from
"/opt/csw/include/getopt.h", line 122: Error: Only one of a set of
overloaded functions can be extern "C".
This is from
CSWlibgnugetopt libgnugetopt - Library containing getopt_long
(sparc) 1.3,REV=2010.01.18
a library to provide getopt_long which Solaris doesn't have by default.
