They want the C/C++ languages to be something else than what they actually are. Some examples of that are dangling-else warnings and forcing unnecessary, Pascal style, logical operator parentheses. A workaround is putting in: #pragma clang diagnostic ignored "-Wlogical-op-parentheses" #pragma clang diagnostic ignored "-Wdangling-else"
