Well, if we can't figure it out the "right" way, I guess
we'll just have to patch it the "wrong" way for now. Maybe

I may get back to you on that; AIX is one of my build platforms, so I'll
be touching this when I build 6.4. If (after my next round of trying to
build on NSK starts) you don't hear me complain, it is probably OK at
least on my AIX build box.
