Thank you for testing coreutils.
Would you please run this as non-root (assuming that file is
still there, and still owned by root):
cd coreutils-6.9.91/src
strace -o /tmp/log ./rm -f -- /tmp/ez-ipupdate.cache
and then send me both /tmp/log and coreutils-6.9.91/config.log?
