no such file or directory

The bug-coreutils mailing list is intended for reporting bugs in GNU coreutils software. However, what you're seeing here is not evidence of a bug, rather a problem with the Linux From Scratch documentation or the steps you've followed prior to running the above command.

I'd suggest asking folks who are more knowledgable about the details of LFS, perhaps on one of these lists:
