Hi,

It's not possible to translate this string in French and to keep the
columns aligned because in French the month abbreviations are variable
from 3 to 5 characters:

Currently
drwx------   2 stephane stephane    4096 14 mars 17:38 .unison
-rw-------   1 stephane stephane 5277670  9 sept.  2008 unison.log

Goal
drwx------ 2 stephane stephane 4096 14 mars 17:38 .unison
-rw------- 1 stephane stephane 5277670 9 sept. 2008 unison.log

I propose to have a column for "%b %e" translation (left aligned) and
another one for "%H:%M" and "%Y" (right aligned).

This change remove the hack on %Y (double spaces) and reduce the
global output width of 1 character when all files are older than 6
months.

Another solution is to compute the max length of the column to align
it (as done for username, size, etc) and not just only the first
occurrence (but the visual result will be not as good).

Stephane
