i wasnt aware of that, and the posix docs dont seem to use this word in any of 
the function descriptions.  i dont think it matters much though with the 
longer proposed option as it still means "the fd given to the *at funcs".  if 
anything, it makes it clearer as you wouldnt interpret it to mean "use these 
other AT options when calling *at funcs".
