I agree, with respect to 9.12. Multi-byte character support requires some extra thought, and therefore a bit easier to let bugs slip through. At least, that is my suspicion. We can take a look at both the 'uniq -i' patches for 9.13. At minimum the tests from both will be good to have. Collin
