As a suggestion to the manual part where it talks about 'Setting up the server for password authentication', it should be interesting to add that for machines with tcp_wrappers the line: cvspserver stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/bin/cvs -f --allow-root=/usr/cvsroot pserver can be used to benefit of this feature (and provides a little more of access control).
