in `pub/gnu/id-utils' at your favorite GNU mirror.  It's like etags
but stores all the references and not just the definitions.

And I would probably like to add *.core to the list that should be
ignored (obviously only as files).  Most *BSDs write core dumps as
<progname>.core.
