Problems (and answers) like this regularly pop up here.
Could this be an indication that there has been "enough"
bug fixing to justify a new official release?

For probably many companies it is infeasible to use
tools which cannot be identified clearly (for example
"cvs 1.11.1p1 plus bugfixes for foo and bar").

It would be nice if we could update our company's cvs
server (and clients) to 1.11.2 (or whatever) in the
not-so-distant future to benefit from these bugfixes.
