I am using ssh for cvs communication to a remote repository. I have set CVS_RSH=ssh and CVSROOT is of the form ":ext:<user>@<remote-host>:<directory>".
Everything appears to run correctly except that cvs hangs at the end of all transactions. I must type control-C to the Unix shell to kill the process. I do not have this problem when using :pserver connections to remote repositories. Is this a problem with cvs, ssh, or something else?
