Although Sec 1.2 of the 1.11.20 cederqvist says "the word version is almost
never used in this document", I have found quite a number of places where it
is used, probably inappropriately. The maintainer of the manual may want to
search for the word "version" throughtout the manual and make sure it is
used properly. For example, the first sentence in Sec 4.9 says "Sometimes a
working copy's revision has extra data ...it might be ... restricted to
versions (revisions?) prior to a certain date .." And I think it requires
some clarification of what "restricted" means. That is, what is restricted?
Later in the same section: "People often want to retrieve an old version
(revision?)..."
In the second figure in that section, there is this "VERS: 1.1" Apparently
it is due to RCS. RCS possibly uses the word "version". I just wonder
whether the output of "cvs update" should change that to "revision" in order
to be consistent with the CVS terminiology and the output of other commands.
