The various cvsignore processing is used to ignore generated
files when doing "cvs -nq". This is needed to keep a clean cvs
-nq output. A second part of the process is getting the "make
clean" to get rid of all generated files. With the cvsignore
files being used it is hard to tell if the clean did everything
or not.
What would be handy is if you could disable the cvsignore
processing on a "cvs -nq" command. If that was done after a
clean you could make sure everything was removed. Currently I
zap the .cvsignore, which in my case is most everything, and run
"cvs -nq". The default ignores and the CVSROOT/cvsignore is
still ignored in this case however.
