I am trying to back up a damaged DVD for a user. dd keeps failing partway
through with i/o errors. ddrescue returns 'cannot open input file: No such
file or directory'. Command as typed on terminal: ddrescue if=/dev/hdc
of=p415m1quote2.iso. Tried as normal user and as root.
Is this a known problem? . . .With a solution? Thanks.
...Never mind. I was assuming that ddrescue took the same syntax as dd.
Removing the if= / of= fixed it.
