Ar far as I know, ddrescue can't have any trouble because of the data it is copying; dirty bits, encripted volumes, etc, all look the same to it.

Ddrescue does a bit-for-bit exact copy of its source. So if the copy is corrupted you can be pretty sure that the original is equally corrupted.
