Hi,

I am not very familiar with Linux etc., but I have found that grml-medium
contains dd_rescue and not ddrescue as supposed:
http://grml.org/files/release-2010.04-medium/dpkg_get_selections

It seems there is quite a difference between ddrescue and dd_rescue:
http://www.toad.com/gnu/sysadmin/index.html#ddrescue

So at the moment I would prefer ddrescue to copy my failed RAID5 disks and I
think it would be good to include it with grml.

Just wanted to let you know.

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas.

You would need to ask the developers at gmrl to do that.

Ubuntu-Rescue-Remix, however, includes Gnu ddrescue along with a full
command-line shell and the best free/libre open-source data recovery tools
available.
