Hello In this case sector by sector copy taken place from the beginning of the hdd. Still recovery possibilities are there , if your sd card size is small. In this case to recover the rest of the portion of HDD ( NOT OVERWRITTEN AREA ) YOU CAN USE "TESTDISK" or "PHOTOREC" utilities. Thease are good and free.
