I'm currently running ddrescue from Ubuntu Rescue Remix 12.04, and some options described in the manual don't seem to work : http://www.gnu.org/software/ddrescue/manual/ddrescue_manual.html http://linux.die.net/man/1/ddrescue In particular the option -K or --skip-size (I tried -K 1000 and --skip-size=1000), and the option -A aren't recognized (but the corresponding longer command --try-again does work). Is it normal ? Have those options been implemented in a later version of that tool ?
