Hi,

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I don't see what else it could be.

I'm doing a long, difficult rescue, and I notice that, occasionally,
ddrescue will output a map where large parts that were previously fine
(+) became non-scraped (/) for no reason.
For instance, I had an older version of the mapfile with:

0x3F40B90000 0x1913840000 +

... then I ran:
ddrescue -f -d -D -i 0x588395F000 -s 0x14848600 --retrim -R /dev/sdd /dev/sdc
rescue.map

... so, totally outside the range of that previous line. However,
afterwards the rescue.map file has the line:

0x3F40B90000 0x1913840000 /

... so it "unfixed" a large chunk of data for no apparent reason.

Is this a bug, or am I stupid or something? :-)

Thanks,
Arthur
