hello, I am beginner, studying ed and have some points that I don't understand or that I think are false: -\M, where M is a number: I don't understand the message because of the term "backreference expression". If I give it in the REPLACEMENT it gives me 'M'. Instead, the order s\PATTERN takes away PATTERN, which is not mentioned in the info ed-File. -the '%' REPLACEMENT doesn't seem to work for me too.
my ed-version is 1.9-2 thank you. _______________________________________________ bug-ed mailing list bug-ed@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-ed
