I use linux caldera 2.2, and i backup my data with
cpio (cpio-2.4.2-3).
My command is : find /tmp/disco4 -print |cpio -ocv >
casa2
Now my hard disk is crashed and i try to restore my
data from the file
backup.cpio, but i have this output:

case 1) cpio -icvt < casa2

         cpio: premature end of file.

case 2) cpio -ivt < casa2

SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME TO RESTORE MY DATA (5 years of
data !!!) ?!?!?!?!?

In attach you can find the file testfile.tar
containing this files:

- casa1 (backup file of directory /tmp/disco4 with a
good cpio (2.4.2-13)
- casa2 (backup file of directory /tmp/disco4 with
bugged cpio (2.4.2-3)
- cpio ( the good cpio command)
- cpiobug (the bugged cpio command)

You can see that the two files casa1 and casa2 have
equal dimensions, and i think that we must find the
correct conversion for extract the data from the file
casa2. SOMEBODY can help to to find the correct
translation for read the file casa2 ?
Another way is debug the cpiobug command to undestand
what the buggy cpio do ...somebody can help me ?? ?

If somebody can read the file casa2 with the cpio
command, please tell me how you do !!

Thank you for your help !!!
