hi,

I would like to introduce my self as vijay raj
iam using redhat linux for quite some time
i think there is a security bug in the os

i will try to explain the scenario
we will have two users on the server of the same group
let one user is raj and other user is bhoj
both are the members of group king
now both of them have not given the permission for the

group members to write to there files
but his home directory has the permission to read
let us take raj's home directory, bhoj has logged in
as bhoj and changed his directory to raj's home
directory
where he does'nt have any permission to write to a
file
but he can read a file now he opens a file and reads
the contents and makes some changes into it and tries
to save the changes it will not allow but if he tries
to write using :wq! it will allow him to make the
change and it will put bhoj's login name and his group
in
raj's directory actually it should not allow to make
change's to his file but with :wq! it will allow to
save the changes made to the file for which he does'nt
have the permission to write how is this possible is
it a bug or
is there any particular way in which i should
implement the security please let me know mail me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] waiting for your reply please mail me
as soon as possible

                                  Thanking you
                                    vijay raj
