Hi!
I am writing 'cause I need an help with the dd command ... hope one of
you can answer me.
Well the problem is the following one :
every time I do :
dd if=/dev/hdc of=./immagine.cd
to have an image file of a CD I always fine out an error :
Input/Outpt Error
number+0 block read
number+0 block write.
I have also tryed using the conv=noerror option but it doesn't work !!!
I don't believe it is because of the CD 'cause I have the same problem
with many CD.
I thouhg it would be a dimension trouble ... (is there a max dimension
for the file under Linux ... )
but if I copy the whole cd on the hard-disk and then use the mkisofs
command I don't have problem.
I am using the 2.2.14 version of kernel if it can say something to you
