Hallo.

I had seriuos trouble while using mv command in a bash shell on a RH6.2
system.
I moved a dir from a vfat partition to an ext2 fs.
There was no space left on target partition, (I didn' knows it) and "mv"
didn't tell me before starting the operation, and (this is the
bug!!) didn't leave the exceeding files in the original fs (so they went
lost!!!)
I read the man pages, and there is written that files that cannot be
copied are left in the original place, but this didn't worked on my
system.

Now I was able to rescue all data from a backup but the ext2 fs was
seriously damaged during this operation (a lot of lost inodes..) maybe
because it tried to write exceeding data over other inodes.

Hope to been helpful
