Hi, I compiled fileutils-4.1 on a NFS fs (a stow directory for 5 architectures). At least one of the rm tests failed (on a Debian Potato Intel) ################## creating a hierarchy 400 deep in ./t-rm.10581...../../src/mkdir: cannot create directory `./t-rm.10581/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/ k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k': File name too long done deleting ./t-rm.10581...../../src/rm: cannot remove `./t-rm.10581/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k': File name too lon g ../../src/rm: cannot remove directory `./t-rm.10581/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k/k': Directory not empty [SNIP] ../../src/rm: cannot remove directory `./t-rm.10581': Directory not empty ################## The same test is OK on the NFS server (i.e. directly on a ext2fs). In fact all tests are OK on a Debian Potato Intel on ext2fs. Perhaps the test should warn about NFS or even better tests the fs type.
