Utility: cp
issue:
for years I have used the following command to mirror data to a parallel
server:
cp -auvf /mnt/server1 /data1
this works without human intervention.
after upgrading my backup server to RH7.1 the behavior has changed.
the --force (-f) parameter no longer forces the copy of updated files over
the pre-existing files without prompting.
from my testing, -f parameter no longer works. No matter what I do no
files can be over-writtien without answering "y" to the prompt.
What gives- mcm
