I'm running 2.4.12. df --version gives 4.0p.

The problem I'm having is that although df shows /dev/hda5 to be 100% utilized,
it contains lots of empty space. I can create files/directories and copy
existing files/directories.

Even so, at least one program has trouble writing to disk, so I assume that
df is not the only issue here, although there does seem to be a problem with df.

I can supply more information if you like.
