Hi! % % i can't seem to remove this file due to the "-" as first character. i've % tried all combo...i.e rm -f % i've tried rm -d <directory> and other things....do you have any % suggestions? Yes. This is an old trick question :-) 1) RTFM to see how to tell rm to stop processing options and thus remove a file starting with a dash. It's right there in the man page. 2) Make sure that something (like, oh, say, a path) is in front of the hyphen so that it can't be confused for an argument. Hey, that's right there in the man page, too. % % here's the filename below: % -9DS3U-ppp-summary I'll let you think about this to see if you come up with the answer on your own. Let us know :-) % % thanks, % allan HTH & HAND :-D -- David T-G * It's easier to fight for one's principles (play) [EMAIL PROTECTED] * than to live up to them. -- fortune cookie (work) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.justpickone.org/davidtg/ Shpx gur Pbzzhavpngvbaf Qrprapl Npg!
